We have gone through many Christmas’ with children…almost 15 to be exact! Christmas can be a stressful time of year, especially for mothers, when it comes to planning and buying gifts. As the years have past, my husband and I have changed our outlook on Christmas gifts and now that we limit our gifts, it’s important that what they get is good quality but also played with! That is why I am sharing with you our MOST LOVED Christmas gift to date!
Our Most-Loved Christmas Present EVER!
On the search for the best gift, I had a loose list of qualifications: quality made, no noise or batteries required, open-ended (meaning you can play and use it multiple ways) and with any luck, something that our range of ages can enjoy (15-2). Less is more! The year before last was when this product was first introduced (at least to me!) and I knew this was perfect!

The Nugget play couch had fun written all over it and I couldn’t wait to add it to my Christmas list. Unfortunately, in 2020 they had such a surge of orders that they couldn’t keep up with production so I couldn’t get my hands on one. That all changed (plus I planned ahead) for 2021 and purchased our first Nugget!
A Great Value
I believe this couch could be seen as a bit pricey if you are just looking at the dollar signs. It was of course above what any one child receives in our family, but divided among the 6 of them, I was able to fit it into the budget. Besides, the VALUE far exceeds the price of this item….although I will say it is a quality built piece, durable, easy-to-clean, and made right here in America. All of these things plus endless play makes the price tag look small!
Endless Possibilities for Play
Our kids have played and used our Nugget play couch almost daily since Christmas of last year. That is not an exaggeration! Some of the ways our kids use it are (but not at all limited to):

- a wrestling mat (cringe, with 4 boys this is inevitable!)

What is it?
The Nugget play couch comes with four pieces. There are two long rectangle pieces that fold in half (they have a convenient handle sewn on!) to make squares. One of these is soft and squishy for comfort, the other is a bit thicker and more firm for support. It also includes two triangle shaped ‘pillows’ great for support. The cover on the Nugget is a stand-alone stunner. The velvety-smooth material provides is soft but provides enough grip for climbing, is completely machine washable, and comes in a bunch of gorgeous colors!
