I have been blogging for a little while now and I am always talking about my family and our day to day lives. I love the sense of community out there in the social media world and through blogging and you have all become friends! In order for you all to get to know me a little better, I thought I would take the time to introduce my family members, one by one and showcase them in their own post! (The kids LOVE this idea and I let them add their thoughts as well!)
I wanted to start with Marlee Lou. She is our oldest. Our first born. She was the one to make me a mother and I will always be grateful to her for that. I could have never dreamt of this life I live if it hadn’t been for her!
Marlee was born on April 7, 2007 right in the middle of afternoon on the Saturday before Easter. She was just the sweetest little lady with a head of peach fuzz. She looked a lot like me when I was a baby! Marlee was a name I had liked for awhile so it was a no-brainer when we seen she was a girl that Marlee was going to be her name! Lou fit right along behind it beautifully and pays tribute to my late Grandma. (She would have LOVED her!)
Her peach fuzz soon grew into long, crazy curls and everyone loved them! Marlee has always been a very smart girl and always funny! When she was just 18 months old we welcomed her baby brother Milo so she wasn’t the baby for long!
Marlee grew up right along with our family (We welcomed Chase 17 months after Milo!) and before we knew it we were out numbered! I am so thankful for my beautiful girl! I so look forward to all of the mother-daughter memories we will make together!
As Marlee has grown, we have learned of her many talents, her likes and dislikes and her personality traits. Marlee enjoys arts and crafts and playing sports. She is involved in softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and gymnastics! She enjoys reading, playing Barbies and riding her bike.
But I think the thing Marlee loves most is her baby sister! Without failure, she would pray every night of my pregnancy that the baby was healthy and that it was a girl. We didn’t find out the sex of any of our children before they were born and the anticipation with our last was the worst just because I was fearing disappointment for Marlee! We tried to remind her that God had already decided on the sex of the baby and that she would love it even if it was a boy. My mom was at home with her the morning I called to let her know what we had. She was literally speechless and almost in tears when I said we had a baby sister! (I foresee this love waning a bit when Vayda moves into Marlee’s room and invades her space!)
To have some fun, I wanted to include a section for the kids to talk about themselves! Here is Marlee according to Marlee:

I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about our Marlee! Stay tuned to learn more about the rest of my family!
