Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! I am not really into the dark and scary but something about the crisp air, pumpkins and costumes excites me!
This year, since I am home with the kids, I want to do all of the crafts (yay!) so I came up with this CHEAP and EASY Jack-O-Lantern felt craft to share with you!
Felt Jack-o-Lantern Craft
This felt craft is super easy to do. I LOVE using felt, it’s simple, fun and kid-friendly. Continue on for the FREE patterns and craft instructions!
SUPPLIES
- Orange, Black & Green Felt (8 1/2″ x 11″ pieces or larger)
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue or needle & thread (Note: I used school glue and it didn’t work well. I recommend tacky glue, fabric glue or needle and thread!)
- Printed patterns (regular printer paper works fine!)
INSTRUCTIONS
First, simply print out the provided patterns and gather your supplies.
Next, you will take a piece of orange felt and line up the pumpkin pattern over top. Tape it to help secure and simply cut on the dotted line. (NOTE: The green stem piece pattern is on the same sheet, just set it aside.)
Set aside your orange pumpkin and then take a small piece of green felt and follow the same steps for the stem piece.
Once you have your orange and green pieces, glue or stitch the green stem on top of the orange felt. (Again, I only had school glue and it didn’t hold well…tacky glue is on my shopping list!)
Next up, repeat the same steps for cutting out the face pieces on black felt. There are four mouths, four sets of eyes and four noses to choose from!
Finally, you are finished! Wasn’t that SUPER easy? The kiddos will love interchanging the faces on this cute little pumpkin!
TIP: I threw all my pieces into a gallon size baggy so it stays in one place and is easily portable for the car or anywhere!
I hope your kiddos enjoy this easy and fun craft! Please share your finished products with me on Instagram or Facebook so I can see how they turned out!
