As a busy mom of six kids, finding time to pray can be a challenge! It’s sad to say that there are days that prayer gets put on the back burner because I’m busy and my hands are full. BUT, all of this changed when I found the Hallow app! It is my absolute favorite prayer app and has transformed my prayer life. Keep on reading to find out how!

My Favorite Prayer App
Hallow is the #1 Catholic Meditation & Prayer app out there and it’s obvious why! The clean, easy to use and read platform immediately hooked me and the beautiful Catholic content pulled me in. The first feature I tried was the Rosary prayer and that was all I needed to deem this my favorite prayer app.
I started using the Hallow app quite awhile ago and now I use it every single day. Having this arsenal of prayer tools on my phone and in my hand at all times has been such a blessing.
How to Pray: Endless Options
Daily Rosary
The Hallow app has an entire section dedicated to daily prayers. Getting in a daily rosary has been much easier after downloading this prayer app! I no longer need to worry about juggling rosary beads in one hand and bouncing a baby with the other. The Rosary feature prays the rosary outloud for you, describing the mysteries of the day allowing you to really picture Mary and Jesus, and bringing you through the rosary without fear of losing place. (I have listened through my bluetooth speaker in my van and as I walk on the treadmill!)
Other daily prayers include the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Our Father, Morning Offering, a Holy Hour, and much, much more.

Nighttime Prayer & Routines
I know I need to get into a better nighttime routine. One feature of this prayer app is the Nightly Routines prayers and meditations they offer. You can chose different prayers to end your day with. Some of the meditations included are guest speakers (like Father Mike Schmitz!) who read you stories from the Bible in a calm, soothing voice that allows you to drift off to sleep listening to God’s word. Hallow’s Night Routines are a really lovely way to calm your mind and sleep (and much better than consuming television or social media!).
Sacred Scripture
Dive deep into the sacred scripture of the Bible using the Hallow app. Explore features that include Father Mike Schmitz and his Bible in a Year podcast, the Blessed is She daily devotion, Lectio Divina and more.
PS: Raise your hand if you are doing the Bible in a Year with Father Mike and are LOVING it?! I know I am!
Prayer through Music
A newer feature to the Hallow app is music. Choose a song or chant, take some deep breathes, close your eyes and listen to the sacred music as you relax and open your mind to Christ. Music can be such a powerful instrument to our faith!
Liturgical Challenges
This past Advent I joined Hallow and thousands of other Catholics in their #Pray25 challenge. This walked us through the life of Christ in the 25 days leading up to Christmas. They were 10 minutes long and really helped keep my focus on Jesus through the Advent season!
Hallow is getting ready to start their #Pray40 Lent challenge next month and I can’t wait. Liturgical living is important and as I am learning how best to do this within our family, I love these easy ways to introduce liturgical prayer into my personal life as well.
You can sign up for the waitlist for the #Pray40 challenge and I urge you to join me! If you follow the link here you can sign up for the Hallow app with a one month FREE trial. (Just for my readers!) Trust me…it won’t even take that long to get hooked!

Handy Technical Features
This app is packed with features and I have yet to discover them all! The Hallow app logs your prayer time for you, tracks your prayer streaks and even allows you can set prayer goals. You can customize the app to work for you: change your prayer guide to a voice that suits you, set push notifications and set reminders to keep your prayer life on track. There is also a community feature so you can share and pray along with family and friends.
